The controls are simple, but the setting might taka some time getting used to. To use the pedal as a fuzz, turn the BOOST knob high (the best fuzing really happens at the last 10% of the turn), and keep the LEVEL knob lower (in the neighborhood of 11 o'clock). The pedal will get oversaturated if the LEVEL and BOOST get both cranked high. To use as a dirty booster, reverse the position of the LEVEL and BOOST knobs from the fuzz setting. Everything in between is open for experimentation. CHOKE works as an input attenuator that is especially useful with guitars outfitted with humbuckers. 

This version accepts a battery (not included) as well as a standard center negative 9V pedal power supply. To preserve the battery when the pedal is not on use, unplug the input cable. Plugging in a power supply will automatically disconnect the battery even if the input is plugged in.

The pedal is true bypass.

Note: For best fuzz sounds, use high BOOST and low LEVEL settings. For best booster, use low BOOST and high LEVEL settings. Flavor with CHOKE as needed.

CONTROLS:

The effect features three rotary controls, and one lighted foot switch.

The FOOT SWITCH activates the fuzz (lights up purple).

CHOKE is an input attenuator that works similarly to the guitar volume. Preset a level of attenuation that best works with your particular guitar. You can still use the guitar volume to change the dynamics of the fuzz.

BOOST sets the amount of fuzz. Similarly to other fuzzes, boost works in conjunction with choke and level to fine tune the character of the fuzz. Low setting in conjunction with high LEVEL works as a booster.

LEVEL sets the overall volume, but can also affect the overall character of the fuzz; cranked up works as a booster with BOOST turned down.
